Customer satisfaction is a key component of our commitment, and this is reflected in our policies.
By using the website, you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions, terms of delivery&payment, privacy policy, as may be updated by us from time to time.
The present purchase and sale apply to orders made at the lightingmagic.au between the person who placed the order and Lighting Magic.
The terms are based on fair trading principles, respect the rights and obligations of the buyer and are valid from January 1, 2022.
1. Rights and obligations of the buyer.
1.1. You are eligible to purchase any product or service in the online store following these agreement terms.
1.2. When ordering goods, you undertake to indicate the address of delivery and other necessary information.
1.3. If the information specified during registration changes, you must update the account independently.
1.4. Please note that products may differ from those pictured on the website due to natural variations in colour, finish and scale of the image.
1.5. You assume an obligation to ensure the security of login and order data and not to disclose them to third parties.
1.6. You assume an obligation for the actions of third parties if they were committed using the login data of your account.
1.7. You are not eligible to use our website for any activities that breach any laws, regulations, standards, codes, or any third party’s rights.
2. Rights and obligations of the seller.
2.1. All orders are subject to acceptance by our consultants.
2.2. We assume an obligation to deliver the ordered and paid goods to the specified address.
2.3. If we are unable to deliver the goods ordered by the buyer due to circumstances, an offer of an equivalent product must take place.
2.4. We assume an obligation to return the money to the buyer within 5 (five) business days If you do not accept the proposed equivalent product.
2.5. We are not responsible for expenses incurred due to the delayed delivery of goods.
2.6. We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions and photos on our website are accurate. However, some inaccuracies, typographical errors, or misinterpretations may occur. We reserve the right to correct such inaccuracies or typographical errors as they are identified.
2.7. We reserve the right to change prices displayed for products on our website at any time and prices, promotions, versions, and availability advertised are subject to change without prior notice.
2.8. We reserve the right to cancel your order without notification, if the invoice has not paid within 4 (four) business days.
3. Terms of warranty.
3.1. Lighting Magic is not the manufacturer or importer of the products it represents. We act as a responsible retailer whose primary objective is to safeguard the rights and interests of our customers to the fullest extent.
3.2. We adhere to the warranty and liability policies of our suppliers and manufacturers. Each supplier or manufacturer may have specific requirements and conditions related to warranty claims or product quality, as governed by Australian consumer law.
3.3. However, we are not in a position to alter or influence the warranty terms or the responsibilities of the supplier. That said, we are committed to doing everything within our ability to achieve the best possible outcome for our customers.
3.4. It is the customer’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with the warranty terms and conditions of the specific product or brand being purchased.
3.5. All products requiring installation by a licensed electrician is covered by a minimum of 12 months warranty.
3.6. If you notice the manufacturer’s failure, please immediately transfer the goods back to customer service along with the documents confirming the warranty and purchase.
3.7. You may file a complaint about the quality of goods in electronic form to the email address info@lightingmagic.au or in writing to 7a/111 N Lakes Dr,
North Lakes QLD 4509.
3.8. Lighting Magic and licensed electrician invoices and electrical certificate will be required.
3.9. Provide clear images or documentation where possible.
3.10. The complaint will be reviewed within 1-5 business days, and the response will be sent to the specified contact address.
3.11. You are eligible for a replacement.
3.12. All additional obligations and warranties, expressed or implied, are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law unless otherwise specified by the Australian Consumer Law.
3.13. All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified licensed electrician unless the product is marked DIY (Do It Yourself).
3.14. The customer is responsible for inspecting the goods for any visible defects upon receipt.
3.15. The customer is responsible for ensuring that all products are free from visible defects and requesting the necessary tests from an electrician prior to installation.
3.16. Lighting equipment must be tested and photographed switched on before installation for warranty validation.
3.17. Lighting Magic is not liable for any claim, loss or expense incurred by any person resulting from or in connection with the delivery, failure to deliver, installation, use, warranty claim, or return of any products.
3.18. In order to get back to you as soon as possible, we are making every effort. While we process your warranty, please be patient and kind to our team.
4. Returns & Refunds Policy
4.1. At Lighting Magic, we want our customers to be confident in your purchase. If our customer simply change your mind, you may request a return within 14 days from the date on your invoice, provided all conditions below are met:
4.1.1. The customer must provide the original proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
4.1.2. The item must be unused, uninstalled, unaltered, and in “as-new” condition.
4.1.3. Products must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging, including all accessories and manuals.
4.1.4. The customer is responsible for any return shipping costs, and products must be returned to the original place of purchase unless otherwise directed.
4.1.5. The refund amount will be deducted by the shipping costs we originally incurred to dispatch the order, irrespective of any free shipping offered.
4.1.6. All return requests must be approved before sending back the item.
4.1.7. Once approved, returned goods must be received by us within 10 business days. If received after this period, returns may not be accepted without further written authorisation.
5. Refund or Credit Options
When your return is approved, you may choose one of the following:
5.1.1. Store Credit
- You will receive credit for the full purchase value of the returned item.
- Credits are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue.
5.1.2. Refund
- A restocking fee of 20% applies.
- Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment.
6. How to Arrange a Return
6.1. In-Store Purchases: Visit the store where you bought the item and speak with our team to obtain return authorisation.
6.2. Online Purchases: Contact our online support team before returning any item.
6.3. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
7. Items That Cannot Be Returned
7.1. The following products are not eligible for returns:
7.1.1. Special-order, exclusive collection or custom-made (bespoke) items.
7.1.2. Ex-display, clearance, discontinued, or sale items with more than 50% discount.
7.1.3. Complimentary products or gift vouchers.
7.1.4. Goods and orders left in storage for more than 14 days after order confirmation and payment receipt.
7.1.5. Select premium brands, or special purpose products as listed on our site (these may vary from time to time): NordLux, Ideal Lux, Buster+Punch, SLAMP, Ole by FM, Eyzee, TecLed, Fiorentino.
8. Quality Check Before Installation
8.1. Please inspect all products carefully upon receipt and before installation. Any visual defects must be reported within the 14-day period. Installed products cannot be returned for visual issues once they have been fitted.
8.2. Please request licensed electrician to conduct the necessary tests before installation.
8.3. Lighting equipment must be tested and photographed switched on before installation for warranty validation.
9. Other circumstances.
9.1. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under the ACL, consumers may be entitled to remedies if a product fails to meet consumer guarantees—even if that failure occurs outside the stated return period.
9.2. In case any item out of the above conditions expires, it will not affect the other conditions.
9.3. All information published on the online store is the seller's intellectual property and is protected by copyright law.
9.4. Any copying of materials, photographs and texts from the online store without the seller's permission is prohibited.
9.5. Any discrepancies arising from the fulfilment of these conditions must be resolved by negotiation.
9.6. If there is an opportunity to reach an agreement, disputes should be resolved in accordance with the procedures specified in the legal acts of Queensland.
